Located 8 kilometres from the city, Palma Airport is the first place travellers see on the island. With an area of 6.3 km2, it serves 30 million tourists per year or 12,000 passengers per hour. All covid restrictions in Spain have been lifted. Therefore, health controls are not presently required at Palma Mallorca Airport. For travelling to the city, find the bus stop on Floor 0 of the terminal, opposite the exit from the arrivals hall. When arriving at Airport Mallorca, the bus stops on Floor 2, near the departures section.
The standard fare is €5, and children under 5 travel free of charge. Palma’s residents with a citizen card at hand enjoy a discount price of €1 per trip. Also, the local bus system provides four intercity routes serving Camp de Mar, Can Picafort, Cala Bona, and Campos.
Catch Mallorca Airport taxis from the signed taxi rank at the terminal for a cheap price. Other places within the facility may be more expensive. The main price deciders when travelling by taxi are distance and time of day. Please note that overall rates may be higher on a public holiday.

The largest duty-free shop is available on Floor 4, Departures, Passenger-only zone. It offers foodstuffs, tobacco, perfumery, drinks, cosmetics, and accessories, and is open 24/7 during the summer. During the winter, its business hours are from 4:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Also, you will find smaller express duty-free stores within the facility. They are located in Modules A, C, and D, on the way to your boarding gate. Although there are no express stores in Module B, a variety of Palma Airport shops and bars are available in that section.

Two plastic wrapping machines are available at Mallorca International Airport, on either side of the check-in area, on Floor 2. Staff are available by each machine to help you wrap your bag in film. The service operates from Monday to Sunday 6 a.m. to 10.30 p.m. Wrapping costs around €10 per item. If you need plastic bags for liquids, buy them on Floor 4, in the Public zone of the Departures hall.
