Located 8 kilometres from the city, Palma Airport is the first place travellers see on the island. With an area of 6.3 km2, it serves 30 million tourists per year or 12,000 passengers per hour. Its IATA code is PMI while its ICAO location indicator is LEPA. Sometimes, people call it Son Sant Joan Airport.
